'Voice' winner almost gave up on music business

'Voice' winner almost gave up on music business, On Wednesday night, Javier Colon took top honors on “The Voice,” but in a Friday morning interview on TODAY, the singer admitted he came close to giving up on the music business all together before the competition even began.
According to Colon, tough times and a failed record deal made success seem hopeless.
“I was (thinking of abandoning music), because it was getting to the point I wasn’t able to, you know, make a living enough to raise my two beautiful girls and support my wife,” he explained. “I wasn’t going to let that happen, so if I had to do something else, I was going to do something else.”
Of course now, with a prize of $100,000 and a guaranteed record contract, Colon’s given up on thoughts of giving up. But in the moments just before his big win was announced, he still wasn’t so confident of his future.

Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks play newlyweds on Letterman

Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks play newlyweds on Letterman, hey guys the actress is in mood,,,Actress Julia Roberts appeared on “Late Show With David LettermanThursday night to promote her new film, “Larry Crowne.” But much to Roberts’ surprise, she soon found herself sharing the late-night spotlight with co-star Tom Hanks.
Just as Letterman asked Roberts to take part in a little quiz, Hanks crashed the stage, yelling, “Can I play? Can I play?”
While the segment came as a shock to Roberts, Letterman and Hanks clearly worked on the bit ahead of time. The result was a side-splitting spin on “The Newlywed Game,” wherein the “Pretty Woman” star had to answer personal questions about Hanks correctly. That, of course, turned out to be an nearly impossible task, as the affable actor had a perfect punch line at the ready for every question.
When Letterman asked who Hanks considered to be the finest actor of his generation, Roberts had no idea the answer on the card would be “Tom Hanks!” She was even more surprised to see that his response to a query about his age would simply be the non sequitur “in the a--.”

WikiLeaks says it's suing Visa, MasterCard

WikiLeaks says it's suing Visa, MasterCard , WikiLeaks said early Saturday that it was suing the European operations of Visa and MasterCard because they cut off services to the secrets-spreading website last December.A statement tweeted from WikiLeaks said WikiLeaks and service provider Datacell would sue the credit card companies, alleging that they engaged "in an unlawful, U.S. influenced, financial blockade."
The statement accused the companies of coordinating to block donation payments to WikiLeaks in December and violating European Union competition laws. The statement said a complaint would be filed with the European Commission.
"Further actions in other jurisdictions will follow," the statement said.
Visa, MasterCard and PayPal cut off the flow of donations to WikiLeaks because of legal concerns over how it obtained secret documents that it disseminated on the Internet last fall.
After a crush of traffic prompted WikiLeaks to move from a Swedish base to Amazon.com servers, U.S. congressional staffers put pressure on the Internet retailer, and it also shut down the WikiLeaks site on its servers for distributing documents it didn't own.
PayPal and Amazon.com were not mentioned in the statement.
